MAKE BRUNSWICK ST TRAMS ACCESSIBLE FOR ALL

Did you know there are no wheelchair accessible tram stops on Brunswick Street?

The No.11 Tram, which runs through the heart of Fitzroy and Fitzroy North, gives members of our community access to one of the most vibrant and exciting suburbs in Melbourne. Thousands of people each week rely on the No. 11 to get to work, save money on parking, reduce their carbon footprint, and connect with their community.

However, there are many people in our community who can’t use our trams because there are no wheelchair accessible tram stops on Brunswick Street.

Access to public transport is vital and everyone should be able to use it – regardless of ability.

Building accessible tram stops all along Brunswick Street would make this vital corridor accessible to many more people. By signing this petition you will be sending a clear message to the Labor Government – genuinely accessible tram stops need to be a top priority.

The signatories ask the Department of Transport to give urgent priority to building accessible public transport stops along Brunswick Street.

This petition was started by a community member.
